Project Manager - WWTP - URGENTLT HIRING

Overview:

Our client, an industry-leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects. Duties and
Responsibilities:


  • Oversee project development, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Supervise project buyout in collaboration with the estimator.
  • Manage submittals and the RFI process.
  • Lead planning and progress meetings, creating agendas and executing cost-to-complete reports.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor payments and analyze subcontractor billings.
  • Maintain necessary logs including change orders, field orders, submittals, RFIs, and more.
  • Track materials used on the job site.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Project Management to effectively manage projects.
  • Coordinate payments with lower-tier vendors and subcontractors.
  • Mentor and train Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Participate in professional trade groups.

Qualifications/
Experience:


  • Bachelor s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Professional Certification.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (preferred).
  • 5-10 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer.
  • 5 years in heavy civil construction with Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant experience.

Competencies:


  • Knowledge of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant construction and systems.
  • Ability to manage medium-sized projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of project financial reporting and minority goals.
  • Familiarity with contract documents and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, P6, and Viewpoint software.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, problem solver.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required to support time-sensitive issues as they arise, with an emphasis on meeting assigned responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in a non-smoking office environment, with fieldwork and travel required. Overnight stays may be necessary depending on project demands.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to:


  • Sit (or stand) for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally bend, twist, squat, kneel, and walk up/down stairs.
  • Demonstrate visual and hearing acuity.
  • Work on outdoor construction sites with uneven terrain and in various weather conditions.
